As summer begins to cool off and fall approaches, many people start asking about our plans for next year. In 2025, we have an action packed lineup of top quality trail events! We feel like we have hit our full stride as a small business and are so proud of our schedule. Without delay, here is our planned** schedule of events for 2025:
Siuslaw Dunes / March 8 / Registration opens October 1st
50K, 20 miler, 12K / Oregon Coast
Event logistics remain largely the same as 2024. We’ll have a few minor adjustments to the 50K and 20 miler based on seasonal conditions and high tide timing.
The Big Alta / March 22-23/ Registration is open
50K & 28K / Marin County, California
Our event dates are 4 weeks later than the 2024 event, due to permitting agency requirements/restrictions.
Gorge Waterfalls / April 11-13 / Registration is open
100K, 50K, 30K / Columbia River Gorge
No major event changes from the 2024 iteration.
Tillamook Burn / May 9-11 / Registration opens October 14th
50 miler, 50K, 20 miler / Oregon Coast Range
No major changes from 2024, although we do expect the 50 miler to get a few more miles of new singletrack trail in place of forest road. The Timber Road will also be re-opened to the public after two years of mudslide closures, allowing for a much shorter drive between Reehers Camp staging area and the Hwy 6 corridor.
Cape Mountain / May 31 & June 1 /Registration opens December 9th
50K, 25K, 10K / Oregon Coast
No changes expected from the 2024 version.
Hood Hundred / July 26-27 / Registration opens December 2nd
100 Miler / Mt. Hood
The event flips dates with Wy’east Trailfest, offering 15-20 minutes more daylight in the mornings and evenings. Hood Hundred becomes a Western States Qualifier.
Wy'east Trailfest / August 9-10 / Registration opens January 1st
50K, Trail Half, 28K, 14K, 8K / Mt. Hood
The event flips dates with Hood Hundred, allowing for far less snow in the higher elevations of the 50K, 28K and 14K courses.
Mt. Hood Trail Games / August 23 / Registration opens February 1st
Trail Relay, Squad & Solo races / Mt. Hood
Trail Games flips dates with Backcountry Rise, allowing for more summer participation for teams.
Backcountry Rise / September 6-7 / Registration opens February 15th
50K, 20 miler, Trail Half / Mt. St. Helens
We go back to our original weekend after Labor Day timeframe, allowing for cooler temperatures on these very exposed courses. We’ll continue with the alternate courses for 2025 and 2026, in line with the current timeline for major highway repairs that have kept Johnston Ridge Observatory closed and inaccessible since May 2023. In 2027 we resume with the classic courses!
Perpetua Coast / October 4-5 / Registration opens March 1st
50K, 20 miler & Trail Half / Oregon Coast
No changes expected from the 2024 timeframe and logisitics.
Rogue Gorge / October 18-19 / Registration opens April 1st
NEW 50 Miler, 50K, Half Marathon & 12K / Southern Oregon Cascades
Rogue Gorge gets a shiny new point to point 50 miler, otherwise the same timeframe and logistics as 2024.
**While this is what we are planning for, some event permitting is not yet finalized. That said, some event dates, race distances and timelines may change before we open registration. Future dates, race distances and courses vary sometimes based on venue availability, course conditions in prior years, as well as a variety of other limitations and considerations.
